# Solana wallet verification

> Connect a Solana wallet, sign a server challenge, and bind ownership to your GitHub account. No token transfer required.

Wallet verification proves you control a Solana address and binds it to your signed-in GitHub account. It does **not** replace GitHub as your RedNest identity, and it never asks you to send tokens.

## Connect and verify

1. Sign in with GitHub.
2. Open [Settings → Solana wallet](https://rednest.tech/dashboard/settings#wallet).
3. Choose **Connect Solana wallet** (Reown AppKit, Solana only).
4. Sign the exact message RedNest issued. The message is bound to your account, session, wallet, site domain, and a short expiry.
5. After a valid signature, the wallet is stored as verified.

Challenges expire after a few minutes and can be used only once. RedNest verifies the Ed25519 signature on the server.

## Ownership rules

- One active verified wallet per GitHub user.
- One active wallet address globally (another account cannot claim a wallet you already verified).
- Replacing a wallet requires a new signed challenge.
- Disconnecting deactivates the verified wallet without resetting free or monthly scan usage history.

## $RED balance

Holder eligibility (when activated) reads the verified wallet’s on-chain balance for the official mint on the server. RedNest does not trust a balance reported by the browser. See [Pricing & $RED access](https://rednest.tech/docs/pricing).

Token-holder scanning is not active yet. Wallet verification is available ahead of the official $RED launch. No mint address is published here until launch.
